HISTORIC BOUTIQUE HOTELS

Heaven on earth exists and it's called Sao Tome and Principe, a destination that is an authentic treasure still waiting to be discovered.

The culture, history, gastronomy and people are, without a doubt, one of the most valuable jewels that Sao Tome and Principe has.
But this African archipelago was still blessed by nature.
As it is located on the equator, Sao Tome and Principe has a hot and humid climate, which, combined with the volcanic and fertile soil, gives rise to magnificent and dense tropical forests that extend from the beaches with turquoise water to the highest mountains in various magical waterfalls.

Talking about the history of Sao Tome and Principe is also talking about the "roças", in addition to an exuberant and imposing architecture of Portuguese origin, the "roças" housed the populations that, since the 19th century XV were being brought to these territories and subjected to hard and iniquitous work and placed Sao Tome and Principe as one of the largest cocoa producers in the world at the beginning of the century XX.

Over the years the rainforest has eroded these historical and architectural riches and of the more than 200 "roças" that initially existed in the country, only a few dozen have survived.

An interesting curiosity in these "roças" is that each one was responsible for different plantations that still remain, such as vanilla, cacao, coffee, pepper, etc., due to the efforts of the local population and the growth of family farming.

The "roças" are all very different and unique and are spread across the islands of the archipelago. What they all have in common is the fact that each one of them is in ruins, on immense land filled with dense forest and with access to almost unreal beautiful hidden beaches, many of them private.

The Government of Sao Tome and Principe and the Consulate in Canada are committed to the recovery of this historical heritage and we present the opportunity to investors to develop in each "roça" Boutique Hotel projects that, in addition to being Historic, each one will tell its own story.

he Government of Sao Tome and Principe and the Consulate in Canada are committed to recovering this historic heritage and we present the opportunity to private investors to develop private projects of Boutique Hotels, each one of them offering differentiated and exclusive experiences for their guests and each will tell its own story.
Thus, we present the possibility of granting State "roças" in Sao Tome and Principe, creating a unique opportunity to explore a piece of paradise.
